During an interview with Haykakan Zhamanak yesterday, world-renown conductor Ohan Duryan addressed the Armenian people with regard to the upcoming meeting on March 1. “Glory to the memory of the victims of March 1! I pray for them. May God illuminate their souls. I bow my head before their wise and courageous parents, who not only understood the whole truth but are some of the most dedicated activists of the Movement. Your sons are heroes, sacrificed for the sake of Justice. Long live our political prisoners, past and present. Sassoun, Nikol, your resolve and strength of mind hearten our people. Long live our children and our youth! Your unbending struggle and valor will bring victory to us soon. You are the guardians and combatants of our country. Dear people, I see that victory, the victory of our Movement. Come out onto the street. Let us stand together and put an end to widespread fraud, to theft and to the destruction of our fatherland. The Armenian National Congress is the only reliable organization and Levon Ter Petrosyan’s wise politics the only way out of the unbearable and hopeless prospect facing Armenia and the Armenia people.
